True Burlesque June Palmer from England

June Palmer wears some heavy eye makeup for True Burlesque.  She had countless "looks" but the focal point was usually on her anatomy.  She never really looked too innocent.  One of the first British Bombshells of the modern age, she started as a topless dancer in London, so she qualifies as a burlesquer.  By age 17 she was posing…maybe the bad girl makeup was to make her look older.  She is best known as a Harrison Marks model and appeared in his films. She made some silent stag films, where her regular schtick was to lay on the floor and writhe.  A million or more British men were imprinted by her looks, consequently, there are websites devoted to her today.  Publisher Leonard Burtman was arrested bringing nude photos back from England...could they have been these of June?
Shown here as the cover girl for Forty Plus, she was actually 38-23-37 according to Wikipedia.  Which begs the question…how come Wikipedia doesn't provide the shirt sizes for the men they profile?  She stopped appearing in smut magazines in the late 1960s but continued to allow herself to be hired for private camera club shoots.

Guess what?   It looks like June Palmer tried to make it legit after her pin-up days!  She appeared in an episode of the old fake high school / beatnik tv show Dobie Gillis (as Lola) in 1961 and an episode of Hennesey (as Nurse) in the early 1060s.  Not making much of a splash, she apparently recrossed the pond.
Below, June appears as a hard-working secretary just before deciding she could work better if she took off her sweater.  Stag Film.

June was fabulous.
